Photo Fridays

Photo Friday #25

Welcome to Week 25 of Photo Fridays.

Photo Fridays is an original weekly meme where we’ll post writing prompts that consist of random pictures. What better way to stimulate inspiration? They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, so give yourself a few moments to collect your thoughts and write them.

  1. Don’t overthink it. Look at the picture, and just write.
  2. You may participate in this exercise just for fun, or you may post your response to your own blog or any other form of social media.
  3. If you post your response, be sure to include a link back to this blog, Writing My Legacy.
  4. To join, link up below (the blue frog button) with the URL to your blog POST (not your blog), your name, and your email (which will remain hidden).
  5. If you do not have a blog or form of social media in which to post your response, you may copy it into the comment box below.
  6. Each week, we will pick one response and post it here the following Friday.

“Street artist MADSTEEZ, in collaboration with Turnaround Arts: CaliforniaBranded Arts and Citizen AOL, completed a mural of Martin Luther King Jr. in Compton on Friday, January 15th. With helping hands from students at King Elementary, the layers of paint eventually revealed a masterpiece of the face for whom their school was named and the concept for which he was most famous. DREAM is preached at the viewer as MLK’s eyes does exactly so, directed upwards and out of the confines of the mural at an American flag and the California sky.”
