The Friday 56 (#17)

Rules:The Friday 56
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.

The Friday 56 is a weekly meme hosted by Freda’s Voice where I’ll post a sentence of two from page 56 of either the book I’m currently reading or a random book from my shelf. If you would also like to participate, click the link to the host’s blog page.

Sorry I’m late, but I just finished my midterms. The good news is that this next week should be pretty relaxing, so I’m going to try and complete some of the awards I’ve been nominated for.

“In court he said Sparkle, his daughter-in-law and family’s shame, used to laugh like water in sunshine. How could he have hurt her himself?”

(Murder For Hire by Rose Rappoport Moss, pg. 56)
