The Friday 56 (#3)

Rules:The Friday 56
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url. It’s that simple.

The Friday 56 is a weekly meme hosted by Freda’s Voice where I’ll post a sentence of two from page 56 of either the book I’m currently reading or a random book from my shelf. If you would also like to participate, click the link to the host’s blog page.

Because I’m still working on this book, I’m going to follow the lead of Freda’s Voice and post a quote from pg. 156.

The Maze Runner – by James Dashner

“Thomas hated all this talk about punishment, even more than he hated to keep his mouth shut. But deep inside he couldn’t bring himself to disagree-as odd as it seemed after what he’d accomplished, he had broken a major rule.

Down the line they went. Some thought he should be praised, some thought he should be punished. Or both. Thomas could barely listen anymore…” (pg. 156)

    1. I’m very excited for the movie. That’s one of the reasons I was able to finally get myself to pick this novel up. The book’s really good so far, though the world is different than I had originally expected. It’s also a breath of fresh air, because I normally only read books with female protagonists. If you’re still interested, I’ll be posting a review for this book as soon as I finish it. 🙂
